Here is a guide to help you determine which rubbish collection service you require in the Auckland region.

• The Auckland City Council collects general Auckland household waste, including food waste and small containers. Here is the council’s rubbish collection schedule.
• Household items, garden waste, building material, appliances and furniture can be collected by Junk2Go. Junk2Go can often collect the same day. Our contact details are here. 
• Hazardous waste needs to be taken to transfer stations. Hazardous waste includes chemicals, paint, solvents and potentially explosive items.
• Agricultural chemicals can be disposed of via the Agrecovery Product Stewardship Program.
• Mobile phones can be disposed of via RE:MOBILE, New Zealand’s only mobile phone recycling scheme accredited by the Ministry for the Environment.
